Welcome to The Hutton Bar & Grill

The Hutton is a neighborhood restaurant, bar and wine bar located at 225 Hutton Street between Sanford Place and JFK Boulevard (On the corner of Hutton Street and Sanford Place) in the Heights of Jersey City.

We pride ourselves on serving delicious food and a wide array of unique cocktails, a fantastic wine list, and an extensive craft beer selection. Our spacious and covered patio has a separate bar, televisions, and heaters which you can enjoy no matter the weather outside. Inside, you’ll find a cozy atmosphere that is like no other.

There is always a game on or live music playing, so bring your friends and family for a wonderful time full of food and good cheer. We are open for Lunch and Dinner seven days a week starting at 11am and for Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays 11AM-3:30PM. 

Our History

Built in the late 1890s during Prohibition, this building carries with it an amazing history of good times and local flavor. This spot served the neighborhood as a well-known speakeasy that later developed into other watering holes.

While The Hutton is setting trends with our innovative menu and inventive cocktails, the history and original character have not been covered up with time. The original wooden bar, preserved hardwood floors and pressed tin ceiling remind us all how many stories have been told inside these walls.
